This or that? We can guarantee that xeriscaping does not have to be a drab landscape of cacti and gravel. It can still contain color and dense perennial and shrub plantings! The goal with Ecoscaping is to go beyond the basic xeriscape ideas of many high-desert landscapers. We tap into natural processes to provide you with a sustainable and beautiful landscape that also doesn’t cost a fortune in water or upkeep. Environmentally friendly and economical all in one!

 

BEHIND THE SCENES

My name is Alex Fuhrman and Ecoscape is my way of bringing science back to landscaping. I have a dual B.S. in Wildlife Biology & Environment and Natural Resource Management from the University of Wyoming, which has inspired me in this endeavor. By implementing the skills and knowledge from this background I hope to convert portions of your yard into havens for plants, animals, and people alike.

 

HOW WE ROLL

Our scientific and investigative approach to landscaping will land you your dream yard! See our process and what you can expect along the way:

  • Get to know you and your yard: After consulting with you, we analyze the existing conditions of your yard to understand what plants and features will fit best. Here, we identify your goals and issues to address during preparation.

  • Develop a plan: After we understand your yard we check our local landscape suppliers and custom plant catalog to find the features and plants that work in your environment and achieve the results you desire.

  • Prepare your yard: At this point, any amendments and/or renovations needed will be done and features will be installed. Preparing the soil will be an emphasis for plant-centered projects to give a solid foundation and better results.

  • Install your landscape: Plants, mulch, rock and more! Your beautiful landscape will come together in this stage.

  • Maintain for success: Taking care of your landscape is the best way to help it establish and thrive. With fertilizer applications, weeding, and spring and fall cleanups, we can help you do that.

  • After knowing your goals and current landscape, we can give you a sneak peak!

  • Each landscape we design implements sustainable practices. Our selection of 80+ regionally adapted and native plants and soil management strategies create healthy landscapes with primarily organic inputs.

  • Using a selection of 37 native plants we can construct a piece of Northern Colorado in your yard.

  • Did you know traditional overhead sprinklers waste between 25-55% of the water they spray due to evaporation and runoff? We can help you cut that waste to less than 5%. Imagine the savings!

  • Convert part or all of your yard into a beautiful landscape.

  • To ensure the success of your landscape as it grows, we offer services such as routine watering and weeding, fertilizer applications, and spring and fall cleanups.
